Mushroom Baked Rice

Ingredients:

Back Bacon

5 Cloves

Garlic

Yellow Onion, Minced

Small Carrot, Chopped

½  

Broccoli, Chopped

150g

Swiss Brown Mushrooms

Knob of Butter

1

Cup of Rice

1

Cup of Water 

½ Packet

Fassler Gourmet Mushroom Soup

200g

Salmon 

Garnish

Black Pepper and Parsley

 

Method:

  1. Pan-fry bacon till it’s ¾ crisped up. Remove bacon.
  2. Add garlic and onions and stir-fry till brown.
  3. Add carrots, broccoli, mushroom, rice and a small knob of butter. Mix well.
  4. Add in water and ½ packet of Fassler Gourmet Mushroom Soup and mix well.
  5. Cover the pot with a lid or aluminium foil and bake for 30 mins at 190 degrees. 
  6. Open up and check if rice is almost cooked. Add in salmon pieces and mix well.
  7. Top with cheese and then bacon. Continue baking without lid for another 15 – 20 mins or till the cheese browns.
