Garlic Crabmeat with Ebiko Fried Rice

I'm sure 9 out of 10 of us loves adding garlic into our dishes! Try incorporating it into a simple fried rice dish and elevate it up a notch by adding some popping ebiko for adding texture and umami flavours! | ![]() |
Ingredients:
Quantity | Ingredients |
1 Cup | Japanese Rice, Uncooked |
1 Cup | Water |
Olive Oil | |
10 Cloves | Garlic |
1 | Yellow Onion, Minced |
250g | Peeled Crabmeat |
3 | Eggs |
200g | Edamame |
100g | Ebiko Roe |
1 Tbsp | Soy Sauce |
To Taste | Ground Pepper |
Method:
- Cook Japanese rice the night before using 1:1 water:rice ratio. Cool down and keep it inside the fridge.
- Heat up oil in a pan and add beaten eggs. Lightly cook the eggs and transfer it to a bowl.
- Add more oil and garlic. Stir-fry garlic till brown.
- Add onions and stir-fry till translucent.
- Add peeled crabmeat and mix well.
- Add cooked rice, pepper and soy sauce. Mix well.
- Switch off the heat, add in edamame and ebiko roe and give it a good mix.
Note: Squeeze out excess liquid from the crabmeat before cooking it.
