Black Pepper Tuna Tataki Loin Salad

Tuna Tataki Loin

Green beans (steamed or boiled)

Boiled eggs (one per person)


Small red onion sliced (optional)

Cucumber, peeled and cut into strips (seeds removed)

1 bag

Washed spinach leaves or any salad

Dressing

1 tbsp

Rice vinegar

1 tbsp

Soy sauce

3 tbsp

Extra virgin olive oil

1 tsp

Maple syrup


1 tsp

Mustard

 

Method:

  1. Remove Tuna Loin from the freezer to thaw.
  2. Whisk together dressing ingredients and set aside.
  3. Heat a skillet with olive oil then sear tuna on high heat for 20 seconds per side (you can cook much longer depending on the level of doneness you prefer). Slice the tuna into thick strips.
  4. Layer your dish with washed spinach leaves, boiled green beans, sliced boiled eggs and onion strips (optional). Arrange the tuna sliced and drizzle on the dressing. Serve immediately with a crusty baguette.
